During our normal Safari, you have the possibility of seeing up to 14 different species of sharks. This extension offers the possibility of diving with a further 9 species of sharks plus seals and huge 100 kg Tuna. The actual species to be seen varies with the exact time of year.

Basically:-

Great White shark (Carcharodon carcharias) can be seen January/February through to end April conventional cage dive and June/July during the sardine Run leaping clear of the water as they hunt seals.

Broadnose Seven Gill Cowshark ( Notorynchus cepedianus) can be seen year around.

Shortfin Mako (Isurus oxyrinchus) can be seen from November to June.

Blue shark (Prionace glauca) can be seen from November to June.

The species below are seen throughout the year.

Spotted Gully Shark (Triakis megalopterus)

Puffadder shyshark (Haploblepharus edwardsii)

Pyjama (or Striped) Catshark (Poroderma africanum)

Dark Shyshark (Haploblepharus pictus)

Leopard Catshark (Poroderma pantherinum)

Cape Fur seals (Arctocephalus pusillus)

Giant Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares)

Longfin Tuna or Albacore (Thunnus alalunga)

Bonito

The program for this extension is done on a custom basis. When we have details of the dates you wish to dive, a program is designed to allow you to see the species normally available at that time.
